Code.org® is a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to computer science in schools and increasing participation by women and underrepresented minorities. Our vision is that every student in every school has the opportunity to learn computer science, just like biology, chemistry or algebra. Code.org provides the leading curriculum for K-12 computer science in the largest school districts in the United States and Code.org also organizes the annual Hour of Code campaign which has engaged 10% of all students in the world. Code.org is supported by generous donors including Amazon, Facebook, Google, the Infosys Foundation, Microsoft, and many more.

CALIO MUSIC was hired in July 2018 with the ambitious goal of licensing and promoting music for the 2018 Hour of Code Dance Party program launching in November of the same year. With the support of artists and their representatives, from Katy Perry to J Balvin and Bruno Mars, the result was gratifying. The tutorial being the most popular with students K-12, participation by over 200,000 classrooms worldwide, and more than 200 million streams of licensed songs. The program will continue throughout 2019.

7Horse

Formed in 2011 by Phil Leavitt and longtime friend and musical partner Joie Calio, 7Horse has blazed their own trail across three well-reviewed albums: Let the 7Horse Run (2011), Songs for a Voodoo Wedding (2014) and Livin in a Bitch of a World (2016) and most recently SUPERFECTA (12/7/2018).. Along the way, their raw, swaggerin’ catalog of “dark, sexual rock’n’roll” has racked up 13.5+ million streams on Spotify and been featured across TV shows (Amazon’s The Grand Tour, the NFL playoffs on Fox), video games (Far Cry 5) and one very, very big movie — The Wolf of Wall Street, which showcased the band’s left-of-center hit “Meth Lab Zoso Sticker.”

CALIO MUSIC is providing artist management and services for 7Horse, to include the articulation of goals and strategies to reach those goals, and establishment of timelines and deliverables. In early 2018, the band finished a new album and we got to work building a best-in-class team to release and promote the album which included A&R, distribution, sales and marketing, touring, creative, web, social and paid advertising, PR, sync, and radio efforts which are on-going. Spotify plays are up over 60%, social stats are growing consistently, and the first radio single VictorioUS is getting played nationally, has been selected by Spotify curators for the Nu-Blue playlist. Stadiums and arenas across the US are embracing the song at sporting events, including during the NFC championship game. We have marketing plans in place through 2019.
